Scholarships

Every UT student is eligible to apply for at least one scholarship to help offset the cost of study abroad, the International Education Fee Scholarship (IEFS).

However, why stop at one? Depending on your field of study, program type, destination country, and other factors, you may be eligible to apply for many more scholarships.

Check out GLOBAL ASSIST — the online scholarship portal. By completing a profile, you'll be matched with UT scholarships you're eligible for and you can apply online.

  • Most scholarships only cover part of the cost of a semester or summer abroad, so apply for as many as you can.
  • Deadlines are often far in advance, so start researching now and apply early.
  • Remember, you are looking for funding to continue your college education. Even if scholarships do not have the words “study abroad” in the title or description, you may be able to use them towards your program.
