The well-being of UT students, faculty, and staff is the primary concern of the Global Risk & Safety Office. In support of the mission and core values of the University of Texas at Austin, this office monitors worldwide travel conditions, compiles and disseminates safety resources, and leads UT’s International Oversight Committee (IOC), chaired by the Vice Provost for International Programs. We work in partnership with the Study Abroad Office, Travel Management Services, and other units throughout campus to provide guidance related to matters of international health, safety, and security, so that research and study abroad may continue to enrich the lives and careers of our students, faculty, and staff.
