Organizations

There are a number of organizations on and off campus to help support you on your journey.

Student Organizations

University Leadership Initiative (ULI) founded by DREAMers who advocate and strive to share resources that help undocumented immigrants access higher education.

League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Longhorn LULAC chapter works on various civil rights issues, provides community service based programs, and empowers the community through workshops, promoting cultural awareness and youth leadership training programs.

Community Organizations

United We Dream (UWD)is the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation. We organize and advocate for the dignity and fair treatment of immigrant youth and families, regardless of immigration status. The student organization ULI partners on an ongoing basis with UWD to coordinate a variety of informational workshops and student events.

UWD has recently created a variety of useful resources for students to use when applying for DACA:

  • Online Screening Tool
  • Hotline for students to call with questions or concerns about DACA: 1-855-DREAM-31

Educators for Fair Consideration (E4FC) supports undocumented students in accomplishing their academic and career goals and actively contributing to society. Holistic programming addresses the financial, legal, career and emotional health needs of undocumented students.
