Academic and Cultural Immersion Programs

Our academic and cultural immersion programs range from one week to three months and are designed specifically for the needs of each group. Each program includes rigorous academic coursework, cultural activities, and workshops designed to improve participants' leadership skills. Other program components could also include English language instruction, course audits, networking opportunities, among other options.

bundeswehr

Bundeswehr Summer Program

The Bundeswehr Summer at UT Program is one of the International Office's longest running special programs. The program provides interdisciplinary educational and cultural opportunities to students from the Universität der Bundeswehr München. Participants audit university courses and attend various cultural and educational excursions to further their knowledge of U.S. history and culture.

 

 

ITESM

Professional Development Program for Monterrey Tec students

These four-week programs, exclusively for students from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, include an academic focus on accounting, energy or finance with leadership and intercultural communication development. Students attend class daily, engage in weekly professional development seminars, visit a variety of local businesses and participate in customized leadership seminars.

 

 

TEC

TEC Ambassador Program

Created specifically for students from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, also known as TEC, this short-term program combines experiential learning workshops, networking opportunities, leadership workshops offered by the UT Leadership and Ethics Institute (LEI), and cultural enrichment activities to help students build skills in public speaking, community building, and leadership.

 

 

ACIP

U.S. Academic & Culture Immersion Program (ACIP)

The goal of the U.S. Academic & Culture Immersion Program is to provide key insights into targeted academic themes, enhance English skills and cultural understanding, and develop leadership skills. Program participants engage in a dynamic and holistic program designed around five components: American culture & intercultural communication, academic content, leadership sessions, community service, and civic & cultural activities.

 

 

SCIP

U.S. Sports & Culture Immersion Program (SCIP)

The U.S. Sports & Culture Immersion Program is a custom designed program designed to explore various topics relating to sports culture and physical education in the U.S. for Chinese undergraduate students studying sports management, economics, marketing, and other related fields. Students are offered unique opportunities to interact with top  researchers, students, athletes, coaches and communities at The University of Texas at Austin, as well as exclusive site visits and cultural excursions.
