In general, UT Austin students may not travel to Restricted Regions for either academic, professional or other purposes. However, the International Oversight Committee (IOC) may grant exceptions to the general rule on a case-by-case basis. Please note that requesting an exception and submitting the appropriate documentation for IOC’s review does not guarantee travel approval. The IOC strongly recommends that no travel arrangements be made until the UT Austin student has received the IOC’s final written approval to travel to the designated Restricted Region.
All graduate students proposing travel to Restricted Regions must submit travel requests to the IOC. You will need Adobe Reader to access the forms. Click the link to download the current version of Adobe Reader.
