Intercultural Programs & Events

ISSS organizes and supports programming and special events for international students, scholars, and their families. We offer a wide variety of unique and entertaining social, academic, and cultural activities throughout the year. Our office also offers advice and programming to aid international students, scholars, and their families as they settle into the Austin community and adjust to living abroad in the United States.

Friendship Program – The program matches international students and scholars with members of the Austin community for an intercultural exchange of customs, traditions and lifestyles.

Texas Excursions – Monthly excursions are organized throughout the year to provide an opportunity for international students and scholars to visit and experience some of the great activities Austin and surrounding Texas cities have to offer.
