ESL Services organizes many social and cultural events for our students throughout the year.

Social Activities - Our activities include TalkTime conversation practice, holiday parties, sports practice, craft making/cooking, and visiting places around Austin. Each semester our students are also invited to a program-wide BBQ picnic or bowling party and an end-of-semester reception with dinner. Partnerships to Advance Language Study and Culture Exchange (PALS) – The PALS program pairs together international and American students at UT for the purposes of cultural exchange and to practice English conversation skills.

Texas Excursions – ESL students are invited to participate in International Office trips. These excursions are a great way to visit and experience some of the great activities Austin and Texas have to offer.

WHAT Weekly Newsletter - ESL Services publishes a weekly newsletter called the "WHAT" (What's Happening Around Town) to help our students know about events going on at ESL Services and around Austin.
