The College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin is home to eight area studies centers, which provide interdisciplinary research and study of particular regions of the world. Three of the centers, European, Middle Eastern and South Asian, are recognized as National Resource Centers with Title VI funding from the United States Department of Education.
