Short-term UT Faculty-led Programs

Maymester Abroad programs are short-term study abroad programs that last four weeks in duration. Students take an intensive three- or four-credit UT course adapted to incorporate on-site learning such as company visits, guest lectures and academic field trips. Maymester Abroad programs are part of the spring semester but start after the spring semester in late May.

Maymester Abroad programs have a low faculty/student ratio of approximately 15-20 students and students are selected through a competitive application process.

Application and Advising

The application deadline for Maymester Abroad programs is November 1.

Peer mentors are trained to advise on Maymester Abroad programs and are available for walk-in and telephone appointments (512) 471-6490.

Program coordinators are available by appointment on Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 2:00-4:00. The last check-in time is 3:30.
