Spring Semester 2014

Thur 4/24/14 - Peace Corps Group Talk for Nursing Students: 4:00-5:00 PM, Multipurpose room of the Nursing building (NUR 1.112).  Are you a NURSING student?  Want to know how Peace Corps can fit into your nursing career plans?  Attend this talk by the UT campus Peace Corps recruiter to learn about Peace Corps service and gain tips and information to guide you through the application process.  Hosted by the UT Student Nurses Association.

Tues 5/6/14 - Peace Corps Application Workshop, 3:00-4:30 PM, Liberal Arts Career Services Library, Flawn Academic Center.  Attend this application workshop to start or work on your Peace Corps application!  The UT Austin campus Peace Corps Recruiter will be present to help guide you through the application steps, answer questions, and provide tips for a successful and competitive application.  We will have some computers available for you to use at the workshop, or you can bring your own laptop to get started on the actual Peace Corps application (or start your application ahead of time at www.peacecorps.gov/apply).  Bring your resume & a copy of your transcript to receive a personalized assessment and recommendations on your qualifications for Peace Corps programs.  This workshop is targeted towards students who will be graduating within the next 12 months, but anyone with questions about Peace Corps is welcome to attend.

Peace Corps Coffee Chats

PLEASE NOTE *NEW LOCATIONS*!!

Coffee Chats are held every first and third Wednesday of each month: On the first Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon at Einstein's Bagels (2404 Guadalupe, Austin TX 78705), and on the third Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 PM in the Forty Acres Room inside the Texas Union Building (UNB), ground level (found in the NW corner of the building, next to the Campus Store). Interested UT students, staff and alumni are invited to meet and talk with returned Peace Corps volunteers and the UT Campus Peace Corps Recruiter. Learn about the Peace Corps and hear some great stories! (We don't meet during school holidays/breaks.)
